If we meet, I hope it feels less like an appointment and more like the beginning of a good story. Energy matters to me, but so does recovery and a relaxed finish. I’m comfortable with an active plan, a last-minute change, or a quiet finish. I like beautiful details, provided the people remain more interesting than the setting. I like the moment a sensible evening develops a better idea. The best atmosphere lets a pause feel natural and a change of subject feel welcome. I’m not sure a paragraph can say much more; a good conversation usually does the job better.
