I’ve noticed that I connect best with people who do not need to fill every pause. I do not give everything away at once, but I’m never difficult to find in a real conversation. A change of scenery helps me reset, even when the destination is only a different neighbourhood. I like questions that open a door rather than close a subject. Spontaneity is best with a comfortable beginning and a little curiosity behind it. I appreciate confidence that knows how to soften and curiosity that does not feel like an interrogation. I can make a simple decision sound like a discussion, mostly because I enjoy the discussion. I like leaving a little room for the person I meet to add something unexpected. A little character goes a long way with me.
