I should probably admit that I can turn choosing a restaurant into a small research project, then change my mind. I’m more interested in depth than volume. whether we are talking over dinner or walking somewhere quiet. I enjoy a considered look and a relaxed manner, especially when neither one does all the talking. I notice chemistry in small things—tone, timing, and the way two people settle beside each other. I tend to remember the small details people mention and return to them when the timing feels right. A little planning helps me relax; after that, I prefer the evening to move naturally.
