My favourite evenings begin without a rush: something good to eat, a little music, and a conversation with its own rhythm. I like beautiful details, provided the people remain more interesting than the setting. I like questions that open a door rather than close a subject. The best atmosphere lets a pause feel natural and a change of subject feel welcome. I’m drawn to art, music, unusual ideas, and people with a point of view. I like a loose outline and room for an idea to change the mood. I’m usually calm, although I have opinions about badly timed interruptions. I’m drawn to encounters that feel considered without becoming constructed, with enough grace for something genuine to appear. A little character goes a long way with me. I like leaving some room around the plan.
