I know what I like: good manners, a sense of humour, and an evening that does not need to be rushed. I bring a calm presence and usually notice more than I say right away. I’m gentle in the way I speak and attentive to the atmosphere between people. I’m usually calm, although I have opinions about badly timed interruptions. I notice light, texture, music, and the small care behind a choice. I enjoy thoughtful arrangements when the details support the mood instead of competing with it. A relaxed tone makes room for charm, honesty, and the parts of a person that do not arrive on cue. I’m not sure a paragraph can say much more; a good conversation usually does the job better.
