I notice the mood first: soft light, a good scent, and a room that makes talking feel easy. I like rituals. but I also enjoy breaking one for a good reason. I do not need a room to notice me; a good exchange is usually enough. I’m purposeful in my own life, but I do not think every evening needs to become an achievement.
