I notice the mood first: soft light, a good scent, and a room that makes talking feel easy. I enjoy making an evening feel considered, from the first drink to the last conversation. I like getting ready with a sense of occasion, but never to the point where it feels like work. Warmth comes naturally to me, especially when someone is willing to be genuine. I can hold my own in a conversation without needing to dominate it. For me, comfort comes from good manners, a little laughter, and an evening that can take care of itself.
