Give me a good table, an interesting person, and enough time for the evening to develop without instructions. I enjoy a little style in the surroundings and in the conversation; neither needs to be loud. I notice light, texture, music, and the small care behind a choice. I like the kind of evening that leaves no grand conclusion, only the sense that something worth keeping has begun. I prefer chemistry that is felt rather than announced. I feel most comfortable when the energy is warm, the conversation is mutual, and nobody is rushing. A little planning creates the right frame; the atmosphere still needs room to breathe. I like people who arrive as themselves. Good timing matters to me. I notice when someone listens.
