I appreciate beautiful details, though I’m not interested in making life feel overly arranged. I’m attentive without making a ceremony of it. I have a clear sense of what I enjoy, with plenty of room for a good surprise. I pay attention to presentation without making it a performance; comfort and character matter more than perfection. I like places with texture; perfection is less interesting than a little character. The best atmosphere lets a pause feel natural and a change of subject feel welcome. I like a loose outline and room for an idea to change the mood. I’m not sure a paragraph can say much more; a good conversation usually does the job better. A little humour helps. Good timing matters to me.
