I notice the mood first: soft light, a good scent, and a room that makes talking feel easy. I have a clear sense of what I enjoy, with plenty of room for a good surprise. I appreciate consistency and the quiet satisfaction of doing something properly. I can be a little particular about coffee, lighting, and comfortable chairs. I notice cut, colour, texture, and the ease that keeps style from becoming display. I enjoy a little anticipation and a plan with shape, without making it look rehearsed.
