I’m easygoing, although I do have opinions about coffee, music, and whether dessert should be shared. I’m more interested in depth than volume, whether we are talking over dinner or walking somewhere quiet. I enjoy a considered look and a relaxed manner, especially when neither one does all the talking. I’m happiest when a sensible plan leaves room for a better impulse. I enjoy being out in the world, although the person beside me still matters most. I appreciate knowing the general shape of a meeting while leaving quiet around it. The best atmosphere lets a pause feel natural and a change of subject feel welcome. I like the kind of evening that leaves no grand conclusion, only the sense that something worth keeping has begun.
