What do I enjoy most when meeting someone? The moment small talk gives way to something real. I like getting ready with a sense of occasion, but never to the point where it feels like work. I’m happiest when an evening feels clean, simple, and personal. I know what suits me, and I’m comfortable saying so without turning it into a speech. I notice when someone needs a gentler pace, a better question, or a little more time. For me, comfort comes from good manners, a little laughter, and an evening that can take care of itself.
