What makes an evening work for me? Curiosity, a little humour, and enough space for the conversation to wander. I like getting ready with a sense of occasion, but never to the point where it feels like work. I enjoy making an evening feel considered, from the first drink to the last conversation. I like beautiful details, provided the people remain more interesting than the setting. I appreciate dry observations, good timing, and people who can laugh at themselves. A relaxed tone makes room for charm, honesty, and the parts of a person that do not arrive on cue.
